Clients can follow the Account Opening Process and select the LIF or Spousal LIF account type at the start. 

Once the client opens the account on Assante Connect, we will send the LIF application to them via email for a quick e-signature using Adobe Sign. We also include a default payment schedule on this application and notify the client that they can reach out to us at any point to change this.

• First payment: Jan 25th of the following year
• Amount: Minimum
• Frequency: Monthly
• Withholding tax: No tax on the minimum
